CALL FOR NOMINATION RECOGNIZING THE BEST IN "IT" ENGINEERING The IEEK/IEEE Joint Award for Young Engineers The Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (IEEK) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) are pleased to announce the 5th IEEK/IEEE Joint Award. It is a prestigious award to recognize a young individual whose contribution in Engineering has made a far-reaching impact on society. The IEEK and IEEE now cordially invite nominations for the award. THE AWARD The award is presented in recognition of an individual whose contribution in the fields of Electricity, Electronics, Computer Science and Systems, Management, and/or related fields has made a significant impact on society. The awardee will receive a certificate and a medal at the award ceremony. CRITERIA Judging is based on an evaluation of the nomination for significant achievements and outstanding contributions to the areas which include, but not limited to Research and Development, Industry, Education, and Professional Service. ELIGIBILITY The nominee should have been working in Korea, preferably for the past 3 years, and should be under the age of 40. PROCEDURE Invited are nominations for any eligible person. Each nomination is completed by filling out and submitting the official IEEK/IEEE joint award nomination form, which can be found on our web site http://www.ieek.or.kr with complete descriptions of the award. Nominations deadline is February 28, 2010.
