본 논문은 영한 대화체 문장 번역 시스템을 위한 고도 병렬 파싱 기법과 문맥 정보로서 과거의 대화를 이용한 효율적인 의미적 모호성 해결 알고리즘을 기술한다. 본 시스템은 동적 메모리 망 상에서 메모리 직접 접근 파싱과 마커 패싱 알고리즘을 사용하여 고도 병렬적인 방법으로 대화체 문장의 실시간 번역을 가능하게 한다. 번역시에 발생하는 의미적 모호성은 비용기반 알고리즘에 기초하여 과거의 대화 내용을 이용하는 개념 요소 집합에 의해 해결될 수 있다. 또한, 본 시스템의 확장으로 영어와 한국어간의 양방향 번역을 위한 새로운 마커 패싱 알고리즘과 메모리 망 구조를 기술한다.

(English Abstract) |
This paper describes a massively parallel parsing technique for an English-Korean dialogic sentence translation system, and also describes an efficient method to resolve translation ambiguities using past dialogs as contextual information. In our system, DMAP (Direct Memory Access Parsing) and marker passing algorithms are used on the dynamic memory networks, and make real-time dialogic sentence translation possible in massively parallel way. Semantic ambiguity can be resolved by referring previous dialogues as a context using SCE (Set of Concept Elements) scheme. This scheme is implemented on the basis of cost-based algorithms. This paper also describes new marker passing algorithms and a memory network architecture for a massively parallel bi-directional translation between English and Korean.
