교통사고는 여러 국가에서 사회적 경제적 피해를 야기하는 중요한 문제이다. 교통사고의 주요 원인은 운전자의 운전 행동이므로, 본 연구에서는 DTG 데이터 및 위험 운전 행동 기준을 활용하여 차종별 운전 행동을 분석하고자 한다. 먼저, 차종별 데이터의 특성을 파악하기 위한 기초 분석을 수행한 후에 일별 위험 운전 행동 빈도를 분석하였다. 2016 년 9 월에 수집된 DTG 데이터를 분석한 결과 대부분의 위험 운전 행동은 주말 오전과 오후 시간대에 발생하였으며 과속 (59%), 급회전(32%), 급 U턴 (7%) 순의 비중이었다. 또한 위험 운전 행동이 빈번하게 발생한 상위 3개의 지역은 서울 및 인근, 광주, 그리고 전주 순이었다. 차종별로는 특수 여객, 농어촌 버스, 스쿨버스가 전체 운행 대비 높은 위험 운전 행동 비율을 보였으며 택시, 농어촌 버스, 전세 버스가 높은 위험 운전 행동 빈도를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 교통사고 방지 정책 및 교통안전 교육에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. |

(English Abstract) |
A traffic accident is a common problem in many countries because it causes social and economic issues. As the driver’s driving behavior is the primary cause of traffic crashes, the purpose of this study is to utilize the DTG data along with the dangerous driving behavior criteria for analyzing and understanding the driving behavior of each vehicle type. We begin the study by exploring the data to understand the characteristics of each vehicle type and then analyze the day trip of a vehicle to detect how many times the dangerous driving behavior occurred. We find that most of the dangerous driving behavior occurred in the morning and afternoon during the weekends which results from overspeed (59%), sharp turn (32%), and sudden u-turn (7%). Additionally, the common areas where dangerous driving behavior occurred as the top 3 cities are Seoul and its vicinity, Gwangju, and Jeonju. Regarding vehicle types, occasional cars, rural buses, and school buses showed the highest ratio of dangerous driving behavior, whereas taxis, rural buses, and rental buses showed the highest number of occurrences. We expect that others can utilize our results as references for future traffic accident prevention policy or traffic safety education for drivers. |
